Our work with the Relief Crew
The ending of 2025, saw a very special partnership with the Relief Crew Foundation Crew beginning. After months of communication and planning, it we were ready to build HOME Academy, building a two storey complex with 7 new classrooms, a kitchen, washrooms and staff office spaces. On top of all this, we built a playground on the school grounds. This happened in three phases over 8 months, with over 20 crew members arriving in Kokrobite to help build. From the foundations to the teachers desks, everything was made by the Relief Crew team, local contractors and the HOME Team, with a lot of fun and dance time with the students along the way!

In October 2025, we broke ground on our new school with the help of the first phase of Relief Crew squad and our local team. Through blood, sweat and tears we demolished the old building and finally dug the foundations of our forever school.
This was the beginning of something very special!

February saw us hosting more volunteers from the Relief Crew. After two weeks of more heavy lifting, painting and carpentry, we finally opened the ground floor of our new school. Three brand new classrooms for the kids and the beginning of our new washrooms and kitchen facility. This was super exciting!

We finally complete our school and playground during this phase, and completely transformed our school grounds! The kids finally moved into their classrooms and were able to enjoy the playground with all the volunteers. After 8 long months, it was the perfect end to this incredible project, a project that we are super proud to have been part of.
